Term	Definition
Milestones	Milestones have no duration.  They are the marking of an event that must happen or the finish of a task.
Tasks	Tasks are split into major tasks and subtasks.  The subtasks are the items that need to be done to complete a major task.  A major task is a chunk of work that is done as a complete unit.
Dependancy	This lists the other task numbers that must be done prior to this task being started.
Days Needed - Duration	This is the number of days needed to complete the task.  It does not indicate the amount of hours needed for the task, just how long we think it will take.  Actual work hours may be calculated on a later version of the plan.
Start Date	If a dependant task, this is the latest end date of the different dependant tasks.  It is not yet calculated but must be typed in.
End Date	This is a calculated date based on start date and number of days needed.
Percent Complete	This item is typed in by the project plan owner.  The task owners will give the status and percentage to fill this in.
Owner	The owner is the person responsible for the task's completion.  Usually and owner will have ownership over a complete task or set of subtasks.  The owner may do no work on the task at all.  They may just coordinate and keep track of all the work.
Team Members	This is the assigned person who will do the actual work.
