Description

This section contains a list of the needed and desired new 3d models.  Each model is assigned a priority.  High priorities are a must have.  The game will not feel like the WOT world without it.  Lower priorities are nice to have's.  We obviously want the high priorities done before the lower ones.

If anyone knows of existing models in Morrowind, the expansions, or in other mods that could be used, please let us know.  We are not familiar with every single static or possible combination or reskinning.  Any models we can remove from this list will make a smaller download.  It will also allow our modelers to concentrate on those that are really necessary.

Model Tracking Sheet

ESM ESP Build Tracking

We have a model tracking sheet which records the models that are being pulled into the mod.  The tracking sheet lists the ESP that contains the model, what the model is, the author, notes, number of meshes, textures, scripts etc.  It is not specific to models and will contain anything that we pull into our mod.

Models and other items will be placed in an ESP and then merged into the ESM for general use.  Initial ESP contains things that will be released with the basic ESM.

Model Priority and Difficulty

Kiriel Note:  Remember, many of the items that exist in the game are held by characters that we may or may not meet and might not be seen.  Rand's sword will/should not be something that the player can get.  Will we see the sword if we meet Rand?  Maybe if we fight along side him or dual with him in the practice yard.  Or can and evil character steal it?

My thought is to keep items that are in the books as nice-to-have's if they belong to a particular character.  And concentrate on creating items that the player can actually possess.  I would like to take the items proposed on a 1:1 basis and discuss that.  There are so many other things that would really enhance the world.  Opinions welcome.

Priority

The priority of an item determines how badly it is needed.  Items of low priority are nice to haves but will not affect the players immersion into the game if we don't have it.

1 = Must have.  WOT world will not feel right without this.
2 = Very important.  WOT world will be affected and diminished without this.
3 = WOT world will be enhanced by having this model.  Most people will not notice if it is there or not.
4 = Nice to have. People will/may notice the model and it is pure eye candy.  No one will think it is necessary if asked before hand.

Difficulty

The number for difficulty indicates the experience the modeler needs in order to create this model.

1 = simple model.  One hour or less.
2 = more complex.
3 = moderately difficult
4 = difficult
5 = not known if this is possible

The letters indicates whether the modeler needs to animate, fit as clothing, or just create a static.

s = static only
a = animation groups needed
c = fit item as clothing.  Needs to not poke out of body parts.

Architecture

Name Description Difficulty Priority
Various Palaces Not yet sure what we need.  We need to decide what architecture will be used for each city and if we have the statics needed or need to create them. 3s 2

Clothing

We will need a lot more clothing. We might be able to get away with a lot of reskinning.  Let's hope so since I hear it is very hard to make.

Creatures

Name Description Difficulty Priority
Trollic Need to be multiple heads for this.  Different animals heads are found on the trollics.

Need some text from the book.
Need a link to some conceptual art.

4a 1
Myrdraal A single model of creature type is fine.  Unless we are doing the named one as well.

Need some description from the book.
Need a link to some conceptual art.

Raken
To'raken
Flyer that transports.  Need a good description to determine if the cliff racers or existing dragons can be used.

The raken is grayish in color while the to'raken is mottled brown in color.  The raken is smaller, and can fly fast and hold up to 2 passengers for fairly long distances. The to'raken is much bigger and can hold up to 1180 lbs and fly great distances.  With one passenger has been known to fly 1000 miles.  The raken can take off from the ground, while the to'raken needs some kind of cliff.

Torm The most intelligent of the seanchan "exotics" (after damane, of course) are the torm. resembling a cross between a horse-sized cat and a lizard, torm have bronze scales, six-clawed feet that can grip the stones of the road; and three eyes. the torm is primarily a carnivore but will subsist on a plant diet for as much as 3 or four day if it must. if deprived of meat longer, the torm becomes increasingly hard to control. Despite their reptilian appearance, they bear live young and nurse them, always in single births. They are not widely available, at least do partly due to high mortality before reaching adulthood. Before they are trained they often fight fiercely with each other to establish dominance, and such fights of then continue to the death.

Many who have seen a torm find its gaze very disturbing, quite apart from the number of its eyes. this is in part due to its very high intelligence quotient, well above that of a very bright dog. Though far below humans in any overall sense, they can come close to our level in certain areas of problem solving such as maze tests.

Excellant hunters, better than a horse, faster and can run farther.  Not used in battle.  A torm will strike at any corlm in reach.  Goes into battle frenzy.

Ridable if possible.

Need to find a big cat model and see about retexturing if we can't get a modeler.

Corlm Flightless birds, 8' tall, long neck, double crest on head.  Their feathers are covered with long striped or mottled hair resembling the color pattern of some house cats.  It has a sharp hooded beak and long clawed fingers (like a raptor).  It has two eyes, is a carnivore.  The Corlm stalks its prey and is an efficient hunter.  They are solitary and only come near each other when mating.  They lay eggs that often don't hatch.
Lopar A lopar is a hulking animal, 2000 lbs. Two eyes surrounded by horny ridges.  No external ears.  Its legs are longer than those of a bear in proportion of size, but still look short because of the thickness and size of the rest of the animal.  Leathery hairless hide, very large retractable claws that are used in battle.  Intelligent quotient is less than a torm, higher than an average dog.  It can sprint as fast as a horse, but tires quickly over long distances.
Grolm A grolm weights 300-500 lbs.  It is the size of a large bear, gray green coloration, skin texture of very tough frogs.  Small and fierce.  Horny lipped beaks, hooked.  When they walk they appear akward until they run which they leap in great bounds.  They have very good vision, a keen sense of smell.  They are very territorial and used in battle.  They are hard to kill because of their thick leathery skin.  Axes and swords fail to pierce hide often unless aimed at a vital organ.  They consume their own dead.

NCP's and races

Name Description Difficulty Priority
Children Needed.  Hopefully another mod will solve this in the next year. 4a 2
Sitting
Characters
Some have already solved this.  Best to just keep it to characters that will not be sitting and standing -- --
Races Hopefully we can use existing models and skins.  This should be tried first.  There are a lot of reskins and such out there that should be compiled before creating our own. 4a 5

Weapons

Note from Kiriel:  since I am not a big weapons collector I would put all of these at a low priority, thinking we can just do some minor reskinning of existing stuff.  Other team members should vote on this one and decide what we need or not.

Carriage Would like to several different carriages.  Maybe used for transport or just eye candy.
Wagon Would like to see one or more wagons.  Just simple ones
Ship - Sea Folk They are thin, almost like a splinter.  They have a wheel instead of a tiller for steering.

Stairs lead down to the cabins.  The captain's cabin contains windows and gimbaled lamps.  Almost everything seemed to have been built into the room except for a few lacquered chests of various sizes.  The bed was large and low, right under the stern windows, and a narrow table surrounded by armchairs stood across the middle of the room.  Tolled charts lay on the table, a few ivory carvings of strange animals stood on railed shelves, and half a dozen bare-bladed swords of different shapes ,rested on hooks on the walls.  An oddly worked square brass  gong hung from a beam over the bed, right before the stern windows, a helmet sat on a featureless wooden head carved for the purpose, a helmet like the head of some monstrous insect, lacquered in red and green, with a narrow white plume to either side, one broken.

The chairs around the table did not slide back, they and table were fastened to the deck.  Instead the arms swung out like gates and latched in place once you had sat.

Ship - Seanchan Ribbed sails.
