Race Description

The Sea Folk, or Atha'an Miere live mainly on their ships although they do have some islands to the south.  They are traders.


Physical Description

Men  

Clothes: baggy breeches of some dark, oiled cloth, held by colorful narrow sashes and hanging open at the ankle.  Bare-chested.

Hair: straight black hair

Skin: clean shaven faces, tattooed hands, dark skinned, barefoot - at least on the ship.

Jewelry:  gold or silver chains abound their necks, and rings in their ears, sometimes two or three in each, and some with polished stones.

Women

Clothes: baggy breeches of some dark, oiled cloth, held by colorful narrow sashes and hanging open at the ankle.  Loose colorful blouses, all brilliant reds and blues and greens.

Skin:  tattooed hands, dark skinned, barefoot - at least on the ship.

Jewelry: gold or silver chains abound their necks, and rings in their ears, sometimes two or three in each, and some with polished stones.  Higher ranks have nose rings and chains from the ear to the nose, the amount indicates station.

Skills

Agility:  There was a rolling grace to their movements, as though, with the ship still, they yet felt the motions of the sea.
